Depending on the type of health cover you have, you can save on your amount owing ‘on the spot’ . For example –
If you decided to have a health package – basic massage at $18/week. The payment system is due every fortnight, therefore within the first two weeks, you had your first treatment of 1hr massage valued at $86 ,with out pay so far; After your first treatment I use your health fund card and process one treatment of $86. The amount your health fund paid to me, will be deducted from your amount owing to me; in this example –
you get $41 back from this treatment; and the gap ( the amount you are supposed to owe me of $45) doesn’t need to be paid .
The $41 that your health fund paid for, has paid off 1 month’s worth of the health package already, in this example, you have paid nothing extra for a whole month! This can continue until, your limit has been reached. Claims can only be made when a treatment has been done; it can not be claimed in advance; as this is a rule from the health funds and it will be strictly applied here.
If ‘on the spot’ health fund rebate should not be appropriate; health fund invoices will be emailed to you to claim. |
